About the Content

Evolving application architectures, growing data volumes, and emerging enterprise services have all impacted the acceleration of 5G market growth. Big business in particular has seen a significant investment and interest in 5G, largely due to what 5G offers in terms of increasing reach while decreasing cost, achieving scale and speed to market, seamless access to partner ecosystems, and becoming the infrastructure of innovation.

Businesses will have to overcome the  technical challenges of 5G in order to make it the enterprise mainstream. Such challenges include limited frequency reach in the short term, legacy network backbone issues, greater power requirements, increased cost for network service providers, and shifting architectures.

Discussion Topics

  • Understanding how security will change including extending data privacy and security controls’ boundaries to handle the greater data and application workload exchange at the edge
  • Use case examples from several industries including manufacturing, retail, healthcare, media and entertainment and transportation
  • Timeline and strategies for overcoming the technical challenges for enterprise 5G
  • Assessing your business and infrastructure (vendors, networks & staff) to get ready for 5G
  • How are technologies such as IoT, AI, ML transforming business at the edge
  • What steps can you take to harness the benefits of 5G for your organization
