There is a big opportunity to improve how physicians participate in clinical research. Craig’s presentation will focus on how the industry can better engage treating physicians who are the key to recruiting the best patients. Craig will share how TranCelerate, a non-profit organization with a mission to collaborate across the biopharmaceutical research & development community, is making it easier for physicians to participate in clinical trials as investigators. He will also discuss opportunities to engage treating physicians and health systems to refer potentially eligible patients into research studies.[push h=30]

Craig Lipset is Head of Clinical Innovation within Worldwide Research & Development at Pfizer. Craig’s team is defining Pfizer’s vision for the future of clinical trials, and enabling the initiatives and investments to create that future. Craig previously served as Venture Partner in Pfizer Venture Investments (Pfizer’s VC arm), where he focused on diversifying private investments in the areas of diagnostics and health technology. Craig was also Senior Director in Molecular Medicine, where he spearheaded initiatives driving innovation in clinical research and personalized medicine by drawing upon tools from health information technology, telemedicine, and eHealth.[push h=7]
