About the Content

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is impacting our daily lives. Services such as Amazon’s Alexa and other voice technologies help us make phone calls, hear our favorite music, and keep us organized. According to PwC research, AI is projected to be the biggest commercial opportunity in today’s fast-changing global digital economy and predicts the global gross domestic product will be 14% higher in 2030 as a result of AI—the equivalent of an additional $15.7 trillion. Leading enterprises are planning and implementing AI understanding two important trends – AI is moving closer to the edge. AI architectures are using many external data sources and leveraging public cloud innovation. Our industry panel will discuss lessons learned, experiences and recommendations in an informal fashion without recordings, press, or social media hampering our exchange of knowledge.

Discussion Topics

  • Why are leading enterprises moving from a centralized to a distributed AI model
  • Understanding the need to process data at the Edge and move large amounts of data quickly for performance, security and cost reasons
  • What are the industry specific examples of how AI is helping achieve business goals and differentiate leaders from their competition
  • Why enterprises need to plan to accommodate many more data sources in the future including understanding the rise of data as a service
  • Best practices for implementing hybrid cloud architectures to support AI
  • How the open source model is driving innovation in the AI/ML algorithm space
