About the Content

The onset of the pandemic prompted organizations to deploy new technologies and services at incredible speed to enable remote work while keeping up with huge product, service, or process pivots, not to mention growing customer service demands. As a result, the attack surface rapidly expanded.

Extended ‘work from anywhere’ policies and economic recession are pushing organizations to rethink digital transformation priorities. There’s a heightened sense of urgency to rethink strategies and investments, and deploy tech that will give them a competitive improvement in security while delivering value.

During the chaos, many security teams made quick investments in cloud solutions, VPNs, and outsourcing. As time goes on, those necessary short-term solutions won’t be sustainable — operationally or economically. Teams need to unify and establish plans for the transformation strategies that will secure their distributed workforce against the high stakes ramifications of disorganization — successful attacks, non-compliance, financial and reputational loss.

Discussion Topics

  • Unifying and right-sizing current tech investments to create visibility in clouds, networks, and endpoint devices
  • Introducing automation that unshackles talent while reducing error, creating efficiencies, and limiting compliance violation
  • Evaluating the risk profile critical assets by exposure
  • Strengthening access control and developing a tightly-connected security framework that shrinks and strengthens the attack surface
  • Rebuilding the culture and vision of teams that have been in ‘reaction mode’ for too long
