About the Program
The 2021 Enterprise Security Playbook is an invitation-only virtual event featuring an expert panel and open room discussion. This is an exclusive event designed for security leaders from enterprises across the Northeast who will convene with three goals in mind:
- Gain actionable insight from the moderated panel discussion
- Participate in interactive breakout room video discussions with peers
- Build meaningful new connections with a group of diverse thinkers
About the Content
2020 brought enterprise security teams the challenge of a predominantly remote workforce, causing companies to implement cloud, 5G, IoT, and other digitally motivated alternatives. As of September 2020, 30% of organizations anticipate retaining their remote work policies for the long-term. However, the change to a remote working environment has created larger cyber threat landscapes across IoT and other devices that will only continue to grow and change over time. For enterprise security, this means that adaptability in shifting access methodologies and other business needs must be prioritized while maintaining control over real-time security events.
Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technology provides the ability to do just that, but few vendors can live up to its promises because their offerings do not interoperate well enough to be effective. Furthermore, networks are developing many more edges and most enterprises now operate under a multi-cloud strategy, which also comes with great challenges.
Leading enterprises must accept that, in the cloud-focused and digital era, networking and security will continue to converge and will not see a return to outmoded and siloed architectures. Our expert panel will discuss the future of enterprise security and how to overcome the challenges of this year’s unexpected transition.
We'll Discuss
- Adjusting for the long-term impact of shifting to a remote workforce
- Identifying the benefits and limitations of SASE today and how it will advance in the future
- Working with multi-cloud environment complexities and the role of SD-WAN
- Addressing the cybersecurity skill gap to overcome resource challenges when it comes to attracting, training, and retaining the right talent
- Investigating endpoint detection, especially for WiFi hotspots, headless devices, and IoT
- Leveraging segmentation, micro-segmentation, and AI to detect and contain threats
