About the Content

COVID-19 exposed significant business continuity vulnerabilities in many organizations, which have taken a special toll on supply chain management at large. The reliance on a global supply chain driven by cost reduction has been challenged, and approaches in the new normal lean towards domestic and local suppliers with tailored specifications, despite higher costs. With supply chain management becoming more strategic and customized, intellectual property protection is now a higher priority. The challenges that have arisen from this shift have called leaders to action to address localization, business continuity planning, risk, and other supply chain concerns in an evolving landscape.

Discussion Topics

  • Enhancing your journey to business continuity planning (BCP)  in our new normal
  • Understanding the de-globalization of supply chain management
  • The evolution of procurement leadership from cost savings to strategic relationships
  • Best practices for localizing while broadening your supply chain
  • Risk management in localizing and shortening your supply chain
  • Protection and recovery of intellectual property  within an evolving landscape
  • Balancing cost, risk, and intellectual property in supply chain management
