About the Program
Defending Against Cyber Threats: Partnering With the Board to Govern Risk is an invitation-only, video-based virtual event limited to senior technology and security leaders from enterprises across the country who will convene with three goals in mind:
- Gain actionable insights from conversations led by our expert moderated panel
- Participate in interactive breakout room video discussions
- Build meaningful new connections with a group of diverse thinkers
About the Content
The rise of the remote workforce, as well as mobile and IoT devices in the workplace, have caused new, and exacerbated existent, significant vulnerabilities to hacked and breached data. Cyberattacks are more common than ever before, and organizations’ boards can no longer leave cybersecurity as a single item on their agenda.
Now, cyber risk must be a lens applied to every board decision. By presenting a cybersecurity framework detailing where data is and how it operates, creating an effective cyber-management strategy, and generating an economic and empirical risk assessment from management, senior IT and security leaders can work together with board members to set the risk appetite and manage risk to that level.
To successfully fight against malicious intent and protect against data loss, it’s imperative that companies make cybersecurity awareness, prevention, and security best practices a part of their culture, starting with C-suite leaders and governed at the board level. Join us as we discuss how IT and security teams can best partner with their CXOs and their boards to protect against the rapidly changing cyber risk landscape.
Discussion Topics
- How senior technology and security leaders can encourage boards to create viable cybersecurity policies and controls to mitigate target risk
- Prioritizing data integrity and quality across distributed business units
- How CIOs, CROs, and CISOs can communicate cybersecurity needs and vulnerabilities in a way that resonates with boards and leadership teams
- Analyzing how the shift to remote has changed leadership teams’ approach to insider threats to data security
- Automating data processes, reporting, and dashboarding to provide stakeholders with the information they need, when they need it
